The International Broadcasting Convention, (IBC), is Europe’s largest media, entertainment and technology show, held annually in September at the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre in Amsterdam. It attracts over 55.000 attendees and 1700 exhibitors from 170+ countries.

The Norwegian Media Cluster is a world leader when it comes to augmented reality, graphics, visualization, digitalization, broadcast and television technology. The cluster has evolved into an exciting international environment with Vizrt, Vimond, Mediability, Sixty, Electric Friends and Wolftech amongst the key players. IBC is an important event for these companies, which will set up their booths at the expo to run their numerous demos and impressive shows.

All the key players, including 220 students, are co-located under the same roof in the new science park Media City Bergen™ in the city center of Bergen. The media lab is located on the top floor in the new building, and will serve as the core of the innovation- and research projects for the cluster and cluster partners.
